Lo Nuestro Taperia & Restaurante

We had an absolutely outstanding lunch experience here while on a day trip to Toledo from Madrid. The owner was so warm and welcoming us into his charming restaurant and immediately poured us some welcome wine that they produce. The decor was homey and rustic. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful to make suggestions to order some of their local Toledo favorites. All of the dishes were wonderful including the Croquetas Artesanas, Torreznos, Carcamusas and Paella del Arroz Negro. We left fully satisfied with bellies filled and smiles on our faces! For sure we would love to come back again next time we come to visit!

This is my third time in this restaurant and never get tired of it. The food is delicious. I always get the Carcamusas which is a stew and the assorted tapas. Or server, Monica, always do an amazing job, making us feel like home.

This restaurant is a treasure. Not only is the food excellent but the service is personable, kind and fun (communicating not knowing much Spanish). Menu is available in English. Excellent wine recommendation EL LINZE TINTO. We had the set menu with interesting a great tasting Castilian soup, gazpacho, pig cheeks and Carcamusas and excellent cheesecake for dessert. Loved the atmosphere and everything about our lunch here. Highly recommend finding this gem!

Nice place. Found by chance while walking around the jewish quarter in Toledo. Appetizers were very tasty, but the main dish (cod) was very salty and chewy. Deer stew was just ok. Had to stop just with appetizers: Spanish omlete and tapas plata.

My bf and I went on an adventurous day trip to Toledo a few days before Christmas. The weather was gloomy and it rained pretty hard for most of the afternoon. After walking the entire town and visiting the museum, we got pretty hungry. We stepped into Lo Nuestro Taperia & Restaurante to grab a bite and some wine. We were greeted with such warmth, it felt like we were entering a relative’s house. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated right away. We were helped by the most angelic person, Monica during our meal. She was so patient and suggested the best wine. We were interested in the Rioja region and she suggested trying El Linze (Syrah). Blew us away! We ordered a tapas starter and I had the ox tail stew. Everything was delicious and we just felt like we were sitting down for dinner at a family gathering. After our late lunch, we were trying to figure out how to get back to Madrid since we had taken the train. Uber isn’t supported in Toledo so we had to rely on the bus or taxi. Monica went above and beyond to give us directions on how and where to catch a ride. We lucked out and hailed a taxi within a few minutes and made it back to the train station at the perfect time. We loved everything about our dining experience at Lo Nuestro! (For context, my bf’s Spanish isn’t great and mine is intermediate but we were able to communicate perfectly)

Not easy to find, but the effort made sense: a very pleasant, traditionally decorated and comfortable place, serving delicious food (we were eating deer meat and exotic soups) in an extremely polite and professional manner. Their weekend menus (30 euros) are recommendable. In addition to two plates of food you get a nice desert and 3,5 dl of the house red wine per person. Thank you, it really was a nice experience.

My best lunch in Spain. Everything was great, the interior is a bit strange, but it didn't stand out from the general concept. I especially have to say about the cuisine - it's so, no, it's sooooo delicious. The service was fast and professional. Thank you, I'll be back again
